17th Sutton Coldfield East was first formed as a regular Scout Troop on June 16th 1955 and became 209th Birmingham. It was converted to a Sea Scout Troop on January 15th 1968 and has since become  one of only 101 Sea Scout Troops to have gained Royal Navy Recognition. We now have a thriving Group which includes a Beaver Colony and two Cub Packs, Discovery and Eagles.
